We have such a crisis of faith which is causing a huge and damaging division in our church and its sad negative consequences in the culture.....please help us by publishing a Sunday Catechetical Lectionary that catechists can use to help bring faith into the hearts of our Catholics!!

Leaving a Parish that is filled with the Holy Spirit, but truly lacking in being
formed and informed, I could not agree more that this is necessary. Too many
souls are being led astray for this lack of guidance on the part of some Parish
Priests.

How many have longed to be taught Catholic teachings from the pulpit? How many have left the "The Body of Christ" ignorant of it's teachings?

This sounds like a very wonderful idea and hopefully will be initiated around the country!

I am the mother of 11 married children and all of them are still attending mass. Like you said, I know they believe because they attend mass...bu they don't know what they believe or why. When they were younger and in public school, I left it up to the CCD teachers to teach them their faith. I am a convert and did not have RCIA, so I was not properly instructed and "could not give what I did not have". My husband was a very devout Catholic man who was going to become a brother, but the good Lord had other plans for him. My husband, Larry, was the reason our children knew as much as they did and the reason they still attend mass. The Holy Spirit has given you many beautiful insights into this defficult situation. May He bless you and keep you and grant you His precious gift of peace. in Christ, Sonna

Great initiative! This is exactly what we need to unify our church and together, walk to the truth. We can't love what we don't know, and learning about our faith will help us to keep that fire of Love for Christ and the church always burning! We need to be taught! GBY

If we don't educate the Catholics we have, the clergy worried about the Sunday collection and offending people with Church teaching, we really be worried not only about the collection but the lost souls for whom they may be responsible.

Thank you, Monsignor, for this new endeavor presented on Sunday Live with Fr. Andrew Apostoli. It left me with a feeling of hope again. You are correct that many priests have fallen from the one true goal that of the Salvation of Souls. They have either scolded, preached in angry and frustrated tone, or are preaching in the style of a Show, then catechizing the very Lost Flock. We hope the Clergy can Feed the Lambs of Jesus Christ, Tend and Feed His Sheep. We are so Lost. Even the volunteer catechized are not Formed at all. The Catholic Church is slipping quickly into the great apostasy. I sure hope the Pope Francis, Cardinal Dolan agree to this new way of catechizing poor souls. Too bad it cannot start any sooner. Thank you again for your Priesthood and the salvation of souls. I pray you receive the most brilliant of crowns in Heaven.
